Happy New Year! I feel so fortunate I was able to spend a lot of time with family and friends in New York over the break. I hope you and your families were able to do the same.

Communication Arts:
Story: The Gardener
Focus: Cause and Effect and Author's Purpose
Genre: Realistic Fiction
Spelling: prefixes contractions*

*Due to the short week, we will extend this story and spelling into next week. The spelling test will be on 1/8/13.

Math: 
Unit 7: Multiplication and Division with 0-5, 9, and 10.
